On 24 May we welcomed Amanda Nevill CBE, Chief Executive of the British Film Institute, and playwright Bola Agbaje at the Hospital Club. They talked about their work, careers and the future, and particularly focused on how they experienced diversity and equality in the cultural sector. Being from Nigerian descend, Bola shared some compelling anecdotes of how she was able to make her way into theatre and film, while Amanda looked back at the route she followed and the measures she has put in place at the BFI to make sure that young creatives from any background can engage with and get involved in the arts. We live-tweeted the event with hashtag #YPIAtalk.
Below are some impressions of the night. More pictures can be found in our Facebook album.
