Join the YPIA team at Orleans House Gallery for a behind-the-scenes tour of their collections storage and solo exhibitions by Gary Stewart and Kate Howe on the 12th September.

Orleans House Gallery is part of Richmond Arts Service, which looks after the Richmond Borough art collection. The collection is a unique reflection of west London’s places and people from the early 18th century to the present day.

This event is also an opportunity to ask questions about how organisations commission contemporary artists for exhibitions and about how they look after their permanent collections.

• Gary Stewart’s exhibition, A Ripple in Time, brings together new sound work, video montage and vintage objects. It invites us to reflect on our shared past and contemplate the threads that connect us through the philosophy of Dub.
• In Kate Howe’s exhibition, The Templum, you’ll roam through the installation’s warm, translucent unexpected alcoves, tunnels and burrows and listen to its soundscapes and silences. The Templum is a site powered by curiosity, connection, discussion, sound, dance, silence, meditation, and healing.

10:30am - 12pm: Reading by Kate Howe (see event here)

12 - 1pm: Networking lunch with guests and the YPIA team

1 - 2pm: BTS tour of Orleans House Gallery with Julia De Fabo (Arts Officer)
