CANCELLED - Diversity: A Focus on the Arts Workforce | 30th March 2020 | 7pm
Location: VOCES8 (formerly Gresham Centre) Gresham St, London EC2V 7BX
As Arts Council England publishes its strategy for the next decade, we raise questions about inclusion and how diverse the arts workforce is. With the goal to fully reflect the UK's diverse culture in creative organisations, we now want to find out what is currently being done and what's next. We'll tackle what an organisation or individuals can do to counteract the lack of diversity within the arts sector, looking at the recruitment process and beyond. Join us for an interactive discussion where we try to answer these important questions!
We are excited to welcome the following panel of experts:
Daniel Bailey, Founder and Editor of ThePalaceOfTheDogs
Eugene Jordan, Music Teacher
Alex Pleasants, Public Affairs/Policy Consultant at the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Creative Diversity
More Speakers TBC
We'll be at the VOCES8 Centre (formerly Gresham Centre) and will head over to a nearby pub following the event to continue the chat over some drinks.
COMING ON YOUR OWN?
Don't be nervous to come to a YPIA event solo - we have a great team of volunteers who help to run YPIA (see more here: https://www.ypia.co.uk/about-us) who will be there to chat, introduce you to others and make sure you enjoy the event.
